To be totally honest I would switch to BBS LM's if I could steal a set.

I guess different spokes for different folks

Interestingly, just for myself, I found that the Lobster Fork looks better on sharp colors 997s (e.g. Speed Yellow, Guard Red.) May be it has this thick-look center and spokes that suggest sporty, and it matches the sharp sporty color cars quite well.

To me, for more elegant color 997s (e.g. Artic Silver) I think there are other Porsche wheels that match better than the Lobster (e.g. Carrera Classic wheel)

With best regards,

I gave up my 18" Carrera classics (in my basement as we speak) and bout a set last summer of 19" lobsters...love them...just classic especially when clean and waxed! It's all about preference I guess.

PS I loved Champion's wheels too and HRE Comps but just didn't feel like giving up the small forture a set with wheels would have cost me! I'll put that down on a Cayman or the new M3 or something! LOL

BEFORE at the dealer picking up my car after purchase in Aug 2006 and AFTER during my 1st oil change last Sept/Oct in the garage. I think they look neat!

Lobster Forks are the ugliest wheels Porsche has produced for any water cooled 911, IMO. They look like the Honda Element wheels. Yuck!

Clearly Honda stole the design from Porsche... Those pesky Japanese know a good thing when they see it.

Yeah, and they look really good on that "stylish" square block of metal they call an Element. I am still trying to figure out what "element" it is supposed to be!

You might be able to get a set of the Honda center caps for the Carrera S wheels. That would be sweet!

Man, all the differences of opinions aside, they still look fantastic.
They've got kind of raw muscular look and they just make the 997 look MEAN!

I think they look great.....in black!

I might end up with a set in black for my winter wheels.

They definitely look better with the Colored Porsche Center Caps. I have the plain ones. I saw car the other day at the Dealers same color as mine A/S with the Colored Crest and it really made a difference, to me any ways. That being said I am planning on getting a set of HREs with the next set of tires.
