Default GT3 front bumper/lip and lowering springs??

Bad combination? I already drive myself nuts with my H&R lowering springs and the OEM bumper. Those of you with the GT3/Aero front, what are your thoughts and experiences on ground clearance?

Thanks a ton. And, yes, I am still considering the TechArt lip -- just hopelessly indecisive today.

I've already purchase, painted, and stored my backup lower lip. You can't help but scrape these things once in a while. You'll go mad if you worry about scraping it. Just accept it will happen and plan on replacing it when it gets bad. I try to enjoy the look of the car and the drive without fretting the scrapes. Good luck!

The lower lip on GT3's is not painted.Do that so when you scrap it,it won't be very noticeable.

You can pop them off and on easily. I do this for getting in and out of the trailer.

Same here! I use the GT3 lip now. Original one is toast, so I'll get a new one, paint it and store it away.

At least the GT3 lip is flat black looking and easy as all hell to get on and off.

I'd love to have my C2S lower via springs, but may go with PSS9 "Damptronics", but whichever, the problem is steep driveways/parking lots.

Maybe we should have roller wheels on the lip.

I have the setup you describe and I have been okay so far...I just have to drive very carefully. The look is exactly what I wanted. Is I scrape up the painted front lip then I will simply have a new one installed in a few months after it takes some abuse . I did have it wrapped with protective film which has helped so far...

Synergy - I have said this before, but it bears repeating. Your car is, IMO, a perfect example of how to modify a 997 tastefully to give it a more rogust, muscular apperance. Love the Kinesis F110's. The addition of the Tech Art side skirts and the GT3 bumper cover really enhanced the apprerance of the car.

I have the Aerosport front bumper cover and H & R lowering springs. As others have said you have to drive carefully and take the dips at an angle. I bought a set of PSS9 Damptronics, but I have't had the time to install them yet. I also removed my lower lip almost immediately and saved it. I bought several GT3 lips which were cheap ($88.) and take just a few minutes to replace....

Synergy what window tint are you using? As others have said, beautiful car.

Thanks for all the great comments, input and feedback, everyone. This is a great board.

So, just often do you GT3 front enders replace those lips? Once a month?

I'm curious what ground clearance you guys have with the GT3/Aero front and lowering springs/coilovers. I have the OEM bumper and H&R springs. Tonight I measured my ground clearance. I have about 6.5 inches of ground clearance. And, the center spoiler underneath the nose is about 4.3 inches off the ground. In terms of measured inches, what clearance do you "lowered" guys have with the GT3 bumper.

Thanks!
