Unless you guys are really ****.....go to radioshack and buy a digital gage. I have three old fashion ones and one digital...they all read withing .5psi. My TPMS reads about 2.5 lower.... all taken at 68degreesF. Don't sweat it unless you are going to be on the tracks.... .5psi in NOT A BIG DIFFERENCE.
I am pushing 50 and my eyes really appreciate the digital.

I have found the TPMS is not accurate on an absolute scale, but is invaluable for looking at a tire's pressure relative to the others. It's a great tool (unless you have 4 slow leaks).

Agreed; That is how I use it as well. Since I experienced the dreaded "flat tyre" warning once already, i generally run the car with the TPMS screen showing the pressure measurements in the 4 tires now as default. Whats the saying: Forewarned is forearmed, or some such. For those interested there is a similar thread running at Rennteam.

Michelin rebrands a beautiful Schrader analog gauge that is my favorite... I've seen it for $25 at larger Michelin dealers. It has a hold feature with a dump button, I can read it to the 1/4 psi repeatedly. Comes in a little blue plastic box (about 2.5 x 1.25 x 1.125), fits easily in the 997 center console storage area.

That one sounds good. I have also had good luck with the digital gauge from Accutire. Also compact and fits in the center console.

Since we're all on the topic, for street driving, are most people running the Porsche recommended 33F / 39R? I have been doing that and believe the car handles great for even aggressive street driving...but you know a porsche owner.....always wanting it to be better.

Also, I get my SSK installed on Wednesday...stoked about the new feel. Thanks again Eric.
