Probably not; there will always be the "row their own" crowd...not that there's anything wrong with that...LOL

I have a base 997 -06 Tip, I love it and it is plenty fast for me. In addition if I need to borrow my wifes SUV for trade shows, I can leave the Porsche without worries. Do I miss a 6 speed ? Yes, however in South Florida, way too much work. I then have my Jeep in NC for 6 speed play. Do I miss the S ? I think more of an ego thing rather than performance. My car is fairly tricked out and sounds wonderful and I think as fast as any S, so again other than ego. The base is great. However saying all of that, I would NOT ever have a coupe over my Cab !
