Question Passenger window malfuction?

My passenger window control on the drivers side appears to not be working correctly. When I press it all the way up, past the initial resistance, to the auto up position, it does not continue raising until the third time I do this. I don't have the same problem with the driver's side window. I press the driver's side window control all the way up, and the auto up function works fine. Am I doing something wrong or is this an issue that needs to be fixed?

Performing as designed. One-touch-up only works once the window is up half-way on the passenger side. Reduces the chance of pinching.

Window must be 50% up for auto-up function.....

Why is this only a Carrera thing? The psngr auto-up works from any position in the Cayman.

One-touch up on the passenger side on my Boxster as well. I honestly don't understand why only the 911 coupes have this idiotic "feature". It's not that hard to put a sensor on the window to roll it back down if it's blocked; my last few BMWs had it.

I totally agree. I didn't RTFM because it never occured to me that this would actually be a feature, especially since my former Cayenne and Cayman didn't have this.

This certainly is the most strange this about this car and one cannot be blamed for thinking that something might be amiss when operating the pass window for the first time.
I certainly hope that this is a "feature" which Porsche chooses to "decontent" soon.
