photos of stone grey porsche exterior?
Post your photo if you have one, I recently saw a 997 cab in newport beach done in this 1958 special color. Looked nice but I could not photo it. Thanks for posting if you have a shot.

This link shows several paint-to-sample colors;
scroll halfway down the page, there are a few good pics of stone grey 997--I believe this was the one ordered by Euroclassics in Virginia.

I pulled my original post, but here's a clickable mini-shot of the Stone Grey '56 Speedster.

a very flat greyish / greenish exterior?
i saw one in laguna this weekend.
it definately was NOT to my tastes, nor my wifes.
we wondered, why anyone would choose that color.
but
everone likes different things, so that's cool.
as we walked away, she asked, do you think that was originally a 356 color?
should have taken a mobile phone photo for posterity.

The stone grey in Euroclassic's site is the metallic version. They used to make a solid color called that as well. Doubt that it can be ordered now. Porsche won't paint about 150 old colors that are non-metallic and too light to shoot. PM for details.

Three more shots of the original Porsche Stone Grey.
Different lighting makes this color change its appearance, but there is definitely a bit of green in it.
IMO it's a color much more suited to a smaller car. Might look great on a Cayman. Not so much on a 997, I don't think.
But, to each his own. I do love those non-metallic colors, though.
Rare twin-grille B Roadster shot at Dana Point this year.
Speedster from The Ventura Show in 2005.
356 Club Concours at Dana Point 2005...another Speedster.
