Look at the car Okemos Auto Collection (Porsche dealer near Lansing, MI) has - an '05 certified with about 6k miles and well optioned for around $66k asking. I think yours is comparable and assuming you beat the price down you'll be doing well...
given the year, model, and relatively high mileage (for a porsche), i'd say the list price is about $5-7k too high. 2005 C2S's with 15k miles can be had in the mid $60k's-- from a porsche dealer with CPO warranty. unless you can bargain hard, i'd move on. also, if you're considering that price point, i'd just go for it and get the C2S. good luck.
That car should go in the low 60's based on year & mileage. It has 11 months of warranty left and doesn't appear to have extended Porsche warrant (ie. CPO). If you negociate you should have the dealer through CPO in on the deal. That would give you a total of almost 3 years of protection.
Depending on whether you're a performance addict you might want to search for the low mileage 2005 997S. You should be able to get into that Porsche in the mid to upper 60's depending on options, mileage and condition. If you can find a nice privately owned car (w/ warranty) you'll save a few thousand dollars.
Good Luck!

Based on my shopping, I think you could find a similarly optioned '06 C2 or a slightly lighter optioned '05 C2S with fewer miles for about the same money on a private party purchase. Of course, CPO would be extra. I would feel better with your deal if you got a lot closer to $60k.
I had a bad experience with that dealer. They were selling a "factory demo" car. I asked if the car had been on the track and the guy was evasive --- not responding to that question, but assuring me it was "like new" and that it had been used only for "special events." I said, as long as that didn't mean the car had been on a track, I was OK with it.
It was only when I was about to drive a long way to see the car, and me saying "OK, one last time what does "factory demo" mean?", that the guy finally admitted the car had been on a track for the "Porsche Driving Experience" or some similar event. (Call me crazy, but I would prefer to buy a car that hasn't been thrashed on a track, especially by people who don't own it.) I was absolutely livid when the guy finally came clean.
At any rate, the price of the car is pretty high. I purchased an 06 CPO with ~9k miles for ~$65K a month and a half ago. It would have been a few grand less without the CPO or from a non-Porsche dealer. Imo, an 05 CPO'd should be less than $60K, and non-CPO'd should be ~$57.5.
I will also say that if you are prepared to drop $60K+ on a Porsche, you may want to look for a car with lower mileage. You should be able to find one. Compared to other cars, low mile Porsches are relatively plentiful, bc some people use them only on weekends, etc. You basically want one that has been driven consistently, but not too much.

I would agree that you could probably get a 2005 S with a similar mileage for the same price. I opted for newer / lower miles regular Carrera over an S. Some people swear by the differences an S makes. The difference in cost should be ~$5-7K b/n a non-S and an S in the used market. Drive them both and see if it's worth it to you...
There are so many of these cars around SoCal that you really can't help but find a really nice one if you are willing to pay $60K plus. The Porsche website, LA Times, etc. link to a ton of cars. You should be able to find something as good or better than the car you found after negotiating with dealers. The great thing about buying a used car is that time is on your side and prices are (nearly) always dropping.
