I am not currently a Porsche owner, but plan to be, in the next year or two. I drive a G35 Coupe, but have had a loooong time love, desire for and passion about 911's since my love of cars began as a child. My registering here now is simply about doing the up-front research about the cars... meeting owners, reading about what things are right, what things are wrong, what years are best, etc, prior to getting serious about a purchase.
So, again, hello, and thanks in advance for all the wisdom... I can already see that there is a great deal here.
Woo hoo, welcome, Bill! You'll find yourself in good company... many of us have been dreaming of owning a Porsche since early childhood. Again, welcome on board and enjoy!
Welcome! If you spend some time reading through old posts, you'll learn so much about Porsches and the 997 platform. This really is a fantastic resource. I came from an E46 M3 that I enjoyed on the track for 4 years. The M3 is a great car, but the 997 is on another level. Enjoy!

Bill, Welcome to Rennlist! One of the things that you may want to learn to do early on is to conduct a search. If you look at the advanced search function, you can narrow down the search a little.
Maybe you can pic a topic like OIL and do some reading. Don't be afraid to ask some questions, but if it is a very common and previously well discussed topic, you can expect some to suggest you do a search. Some of us (OK... me) might be less subtle and tell you to which is always meant in good fun!
As to the drumming, I am more a frustrated wanna-be. I have a small Rowland V-Club set with which I played in a floundering garbage.... er, I mean garage band, but have since quit that band, and moved into an apartment where I can't practice due to noise and my downstairs neighbor.

Again, Welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm!
Thanks, gota... I have been a member of NICO since I bought my G, and was a member of a Bimmer forum when I owned my 5 series. I learned early on to at least ATTEMPT to use the search function before posting a question! lol

Very good, I remember those living in the apartment days of no practicing! I work of DW drums in the SE USA.
