That's the way to do it! My wife and I bought her BMW using exact same approach. I don't, but she loves her car.

POS SL500? Not sure which one your refering to, but IMO the latest body is one of the best looking cars on the road. Doesn't drive like a Porsche, but great looking car.

Yes, the current SL is a great looking car, but it was in the shop constantly for annoying warranty issues, big and small. My wife was in C class loaners so often, my new neighbor asked if she was a Benz salesperson.
