Just ordered a 997 Cab for my wife's 40th. The specs are as follows:

Basalt Black with full leather black interior (she has a very dark side to her)
Heated seats with memory
Porsche logo on headreast
Self dimming mirrors
Turbo 19" wheels
Tip
Exhaust tips
Nav
Bose

She will post pics once she gets it in March or April.

Nice! You should have gotten her stick, she would have had to learn! Does this mean you can get a GT2 now?

The GT2 is too raw for me, and I need the back seats for my kids. I may trade up to a Turbo Cab. Danbury Porsche had a beautiful white one in the showroom.

Carrara White looks especially hot on the Turbos. I endorse this idea.

She might be like my wife...The tip was a condition my wife put on the deal (It's her daily driver). If the choice is 997 with Tip, or no 997 at all, the Tip starts looking pretty damned good.

Plus, I don't see the Tip lever when I pull into the garage, just a beautiful Porsche...And I no longer have to look at that P.O.S. SL 500 "pimp-mobile" sitting in MY ManCave.

I agree completely, although my wife will be keeping her X5 (with 19 inch wheels and other "pimped" qualities) indefinitely. She said something about kids, their junk, etc.

Sounds like a great car, but does she know you ordered it? With my wife, I ordered her a new Audi once and she almost took my head off - since I ordered what I wanted not necessarily what she did (color and equipment). The last car she bought (an '07 328xi) herself. Some wives are like that. I don't dare even buy her a watch for that reason.

Heated seats are a must wherever you live, even down here in Louisiana. Chicks dig heated seats.

My Jeep has heated seats which is the first thing I tell a prospective chick, which is a lie of coarse.

Default Heated Seats?-Heck Yeah!

For the minimal cost of heated seats it's well worth the price. You never know when you might want to sell you car to somebody in the north where it only makes sense to buy with the heaters. Easily covers the price in resale and may possibly move it quicker.

I bought a car I liked that did not have the heated seats although the decision would have been made quicker with them.

My wife will be keeping the 997 in NY, so heated seats are a must. Having said that, I agree heated seats are a must anywhere.

Phil, my wife knows I ordered the car. She came with me to the dealership, and I had her select the options, with a few suggestions from me.
