Are any 997 Rennlisters heading up for the PCA Concourse this weekend? I'm new to the SBPCA region. I was thinking of making the trip up if anyone wants meet up for the drive from LA.
I'll be there with "The Black B" in the Wash 'N Shine Division competition.
I'm on the road from Northridge to Santa Barbara pretty early on Sunday for car placement at "7 AM !!" Yikes.
See you up there. It should be a great show and a super day.

Great! I won't be leaving that early, but I'll look for your "Black B" when I get there.
Come on up. The PCASB Region always has a great concours.
It's at Santa Barbara City College - on the bluffs over-looking the harbor.
Here are the details:
Spoiler, and I'm truly sorry to be one but those who are visualizing a beautiful drive up the coast to SB should be aforewarned. Due to the closure of I-5 in both directions, Hwy 101 will suffer significant delays. Some of the traffic will lighten in Ventura as Hwy 126 intersects there, but many othere including truckers are chosing Hwy101 as their alternative route. Get out early if you're going.....

You were right about the traffic. It was a breeze driving up, but the traffic was unusually heavy coming back south this afternoon. It was worth the slight inconvenience. The show had some great cars.
Was a very pretty site for the concours. I was surprised talking to others that we had never been up there before. Apparently other car clubs have used it before. It worked out well, with typically flawless weather. (I know little about Interstate 5 in that area so I can't appreciate what others had to endure to get home!)
I think they said there were about 50 cars submitted for inspection and grading. Few of us were in the full-blown concours, while most submitted to the wash and shine level,--pretty easy criteria. Most cars are better than that!
Congratulations, Dan, on your Concours win yesterday!
That shot of all the judges disecting your car is priceless.
I had guys putting their fingers "where fingers shouldn't ought to go" on my 356 yesterday.
It was a terrific site for the concours and the weather was perfect.
Congrats again, Dan. Your car looked even more imposing parked up on that hill overlooking the SB Harbor. Nice placement!
Congratulations, Dan, on your Concours win yesterday!
I don't think I met you yesterday Dan, but again congratulations!
Both of you guys have beautiful cars. One of the great qualities of the PCA, as opposed to other car clubs, is the fact that a late model Porsche and a 1962 B can be equally admired and appreciated by all the members.
We were fortunate to get such a beautiful day and matching location. Unfortunately, few entered the full concours,--many would have done well I think. I didn't have any competition so a 'win' was easy.
