Question Fabspeed Sport Exhaust System

I want to install a Fabspeed Sport exhaust system on my 997S. I am planning on doing the install myself. Has anyone in this forum done that? If so was it easy and how do you like the results? Can you tell a difference in the power?

I installed Fabspeed on my 2005 C2 and it is easy to do. I did not care for the sound and that is the reason I just installed PSE (easy install also) on my 2007 Carrera. No, you will not notice a difference in power. Some like the sound and some don't, try to listen to some before you decide.

Default Fabspeed

I installed the entire exhaust system about a year ago. I do not like the sound. I will sell to you for cheap if you would like.

I did not install myself but recently had the fabspeed maxflo mufflers installed and I like the sound. There is no noticeable power gain. I went back and forth between fabspeed and cargraphic finally chose fabspeed because I could get it faster. I also have the fabspeed muffler bypass pipes. Those are a little too crazy for my local driving. I only ran those foer about two weeks.

By exhaust system, I am assuming you mean headers, hi-flow cats and mufflers?

I don't have a Fabspeed setup but I did my install of my X51 header/AWE cats and mufflers. The full R&R took me 3.5 hours with the cars on ramps, the exhaust is very easy to install if you have some experience in doing such things. If not pay to have it done...On a lift it would probably only take 2hrs. and cost $200 for the install. If you have done it before it's very straight forward install. I like my results quite a bit and definitely feel a power increase above 4k rpm.

from my experience, after installing/removing the oem mufflers, AWE mufflers and fabspeeds now. the fabspeeds were the hardest because of the the additional extension needed and the fact that it is so hard to align the tips, and still are alittle crooked.
the sound is good, deeper than the AWE but not as refined. and it seems like as the AWE got louder in the higher rpms, the fabspeed is lower.
if anyone is interested i may sell my fabspeed mufflers and tips ($1050). and try out the pse.

I too installed the Fabspeeds and thought they were somewhat a pain in the *** but then I'd never done an exhaust before. I installed a 1-1/4-inch bipass pipe right in front of the muffer to increas the sound a little. It's relitively quiet in the low RPM's, but sounds throatier at WOT....

This is for the 3.6 right..the 3.8 will be a completely different part # from what I gather. Would love that price for the 3.8 part. Let me know oh muffler guru...
