What are your thoughts on 5mm spacers, are they worth it? It seems hardly noticeable. Will they improve the track or will I even notice the difference?
thanks

5mm is nothing. I have long suspected that their real need is to help deconflict a particular wheel from a particular brake caliper. I could never imagine anyone bothering to use them to increase track. 5mm is nothing.

I have 5mm fronts and 15mm rears. I can tell you that for the 5mm, you'll be hard press to see a difference, unless you look very closely. Now the 15mm on OTOH really makes a difference in the looks dept. Handling, I haven't noticed any differences compared to stock.

Porsche designs a rather neat car. To add spacers creates another problem, dings. There are enough with the stock car. I have a white car and I know! I do have spacers in the front because of my track wheels and had to buy longer lugs even tho they were the min thickness. Just my 2 Cents.

I do not think you will notice any change in handling with 5mm (speaking from experience).
The visual difference is slight but noticeable.

As Dan mentioned, most people use spacers not for handling but for aesthetics or to keep a particular offset wheel from mashing the calipers. In the winter, I run rubber that is 40mm narrower than stock rear rubber,...I ran 19mm of spacer last year and will run 32mm next season. This also serves to 'align' the front & rear tracks better in the snow tire application.

I agree w/ all the comments; you won't see a handling change. It does line the wheel up better w/ the fender lip (looks only).
PM me if you're interested.
