If yes, are you sorry you did it? Why or why not?

I really like the 997 C4S, so I'm pondering... GBG

I traded a 996 C4s for a 997S, could not be happier, I like everything about the 997 better. the looks, the interior, the ride, the power (probably will not be true for you with a TT) etc

The day I traded my 993 for a 996, I felt like I made a mistake, the 996 just didn't do it for me, but the 997 does.

Go for it

Although the 997 is an all around better car than a 996, if I was the original owner of a late model 996TT I don't know if I would let it go for a new 997, as the TT has a lot going for it and in ways the 997 doesn't.

+1 (I would only trade up for 997TT)

I test drove a 996TT right before the 997 C2S, and I bought the C2S. Everything about the 997 seemed more precise, the only downside was the lack of power. I figured it would just get me into trouble anyway, and I really don't like the interior on the 996. If I already had the 996TT, though, I don't know if I'd trade up. I probably would, I like new cars.

I too test drove a low mileage pristine 996TT and a new 997S and went with the 997S. I liked everything better on the 997S...except power. Like the previous post, I did not want the trouble that goes along with going fast faster. The 997S is quick enough for the street. So what if it takes me .2 seconds longer to get there. Something I can live with FOR NOW.

Can't compare with a 996TT, but I traded my 5 month old 996 Targa for a 997S on launch day, and as far as I am concerned, 997S is a BIG step up from 996 - Porsche did a bunch of stuff right in this model change.

I traded my 997TT for a 997 C2S. I like driving the C2S just as much as driving the GT3 RS. I like driving either one more than driving the TT. It was nice to see the TT in my stable, but I would always get into the RS. Now the RS is reserved for autocross almost exclusively and the C2S or SL get the street miles/smiles.

I have both a 997 non S and a 996 TT and find myself daily driving the 997. I never liked the 996 interior. The 997 is a huge jump forward all the way around. I've always been a turbo guy but I would not get rid of the 997 to keep only a 996TT.
