v. 2.05
=======
Modifications:
-------------
- Gateway 500 MOST from HW version V3R2 is compatible with Volvo XC90
- With V3R2 hardware GW 500 can retain the CDC in ALL the supported cars. The installation method has changed.
Download the NEW Install Guide from: http://www.dension.com/download_icelink.htm

Bug fixes:
---------
- Browser: Text display during quick browsing was not correct. Fixed.
- Mercedes Audio20: To turn random on was not possible. Fixed.

Known limitations:
-----------------
- On Audis, when switching from GW to CDC or FM the track position is not kept.
- In BMW E87/E90/E91 with Professional HU the browser handles a limited number of subdirectories only. Firmware
update of BMW system is recommended
- Aux source is selected after the installation either iPod or USB device is connected.

Known Bugs:
----------
- After iPod is disconnected then reconnected again, repeat and random settings are not kept.

Tech. Info:
----------
- Only GW51MO2 product supports Volvo XC 90, and gives the possibility of CDC retention in the whole supported
range!

Read the page I linked there. It's all explained in detail.

Download file, extract to flash drive, put correct file in root directory of flash drive (not in a folder), and hook it up to the USB port on the Dension. Follow the instructions!

You should have upgraded at least twice by now!!!!

1.00 - 1.05 - 2.02/2.03 and now 2.05

DO IT!

(not for CDR24 though - stay with 1.05 for those with CDR24 head units)

Is this a new bug? Mine was fixed with the 2.03 update and the random function stays random....I don't want to introduce a new bug that was already fixed???

Yes.

No one should be still using 1.00.

Just attempted the upgrade. The file G5_B_UPD.ROM is gone from my flash drive. The file GW.EES.BIN does NOT appear on my flash drive. My iPod is not usuable. On my display (Porsche 997) CD List shows NO CD for 1-4 AUX for 5, & no USB for 6. Where did I go wrong? I allowed 5 minutes for the upgrade but don't know where to look for confirmation.

updated: worked the first time. ipod screen flashed, turned off pcm, locked car, waited, turned it back on and...

GUI - looks the same to me... BUT...

all the the playlists, artists, albums load lightening quick compared to before. So much so that it was immediately noticable. For that alone, a worthy upgrade

my 2 cents
