Gotcha. Even with a normal 997S every Mustang, Vette, & ricer wants to mix it up. I save my fast driving for the track, though many will tell you it's not that fast even there.

Your car, kudos for making yourself happy, but I am just giving you my two cents as a former architect . . .
Exactly my point. Highlight the intake openings because the car does breath through those openings(cooling).

Sorry, what you're doing is trashing a perfectly good car. The front green work looks terrible. I think the problem is that there is too much of it. Lightly do it maybe.

No, my point was that it is ugly. Paint color in this case does not improve performance. As such, your choice is purely from a aesthetic standpoint.

Do what you want. It is your car. Who cares what I or anyone else thinks? That said, the emphasis you put on the intake openings makes the car look more like it has "special needs" rather than making it look like a "special car"

IMO, I'd repaint the openings black.....

then I'd paint green:

Lower lip
Sidekirts
Mirrors (upper)
Calipers
Pinstripe on black wheel w/handpainted green center caps (its all in the details...)
If wing center is not CF, then I'd paint that green too.

For track days reusable green race numbers...

If someone could photoshop that, I'm sure it'd be more pleasing to the eye...

Lower lip gets trashed too easily. It would look good until it got all beat up.

For all viewers of this thread, car looks different in real life and green front opening came out exactly as I planned it would. You see a lot less of it unless you are looking straight into it like in my pic. Not asking anyone to like it but please keep an open mind.

Puke......contrasts the wrong lines, even if it were a decent color.

looks to be a work 'in progress...
maybe get some green wheels & rotors, rockers...? be interesting to see where you go w/ it fwiw. if it's for 'de's' etc... i'd go ballistic! (green checker decals etc...) esp for a track car... tha you'll hopefully drive on the street too. beware as it will attract rice too.

hey mussl kar, i have a really good idea. You should take some green(and black) masking tape of some sort and pre-paint your ideas before hand. Try with some black tape to give the front green a little more detail instead of jsut covering the whole area.

try with the green tape doing your skirts...sure they get beat up but its a track car right? Accent the things mentioned above with the green tape and try to reduce the green on the front bumper to flow with the lines a little better. I think you will really enjoy it!
