I'll get another Porsche dealer to check it out! I like the idea of an independent inspection guys, I think I'll do that. The sports seats seem very susceptable to wear on that backrest edge where the stitching is. My Boxster had the standard seats and didn't seem to get as much wear. I do however love the sport seats. Will let you know how I get on with my other local Porsche dealer. Cheers for your comments guys.

My passenger seats vibrates also. Don't see the problem with this. Never bothered me and the car runs great. If I listened to all the OCD people here I'd be spending more time at the dealer than with the car.

I went to Porsche Centre Reading yesterday and was told the same as what Guildford Porsche centre told me. No fault codes and everything normal. I still don't think it is right, especially when the C2S I had for a day in the past had a smooth idle. I noticed that one of the coil packs for the spark plugs had a split in the plastic casing underneath. I pointed this out to the dealer but they said it was working and were not going to replace it. I got some rubbish excuse about them not be able to re-apply wax coatings due to OHS. Pretty disappointed all round really, wasted two hours. I am regretting trading my Boxster I had from new to a used car that doesn't seem to be running right now. i have wanted a 911 for many years and am really disappointed now.

Cheer up, its too soon to give up. I belive there are a bunch of porsche specialists in the London area, not necessarily dealers, but overall experts. Are u subscribed to 911 and Porsche world? Its a valuable source of info. Give it some time, and find the right way. Your rough idle could be a result of a bad/clogged fuel filter? or something as simple as that... You cant say u regret trading your boxter for a 911... cant be. no way. think about it for a sec. Deep breath, relax...

yes i know dianic, just get really frustrated with the dealers, they treat us like idiots. I also got depressed when I saw my Boxster advertised through my opc for £6000 more than my trade in price!!

My local dealer said they are looking into my probs but I think they are just using stall tactics! They are only minor probs but I really tink the idle is not right.
