Car wash experts. How long does it take you?
So I was very disappointed with my last car wash at the place where I've been getting car washes last few months. Its a handwash place, great customer service, often see ferraris and bentlys there but the washing is just not up to par with my porsche-hugger standards especially after I started taking p-car to autox and DE events. It gets very dirty and dusty after either one. I would love to wash it myself but the time is of the essense. How long does it take you to clean the interior, wash car and wheels, dry it up. Can it be done WELL in under an hour assuming car is well maintained from week to week? Also I live in a more or less upscale development and I had not seen anyone wash their car here ever that last 2 years that I live here. I dont think I care that much but I would feel awkward. Anyone in the same boat?

If I do it weekly, it takes about an hour. If I let it go a couple weeks, more like 1.5 hours. I'm the only one in the condo complex that washes my own car(s); nobody seems to mind.
Car washes, at least around here, recycle the wash water.

Regular washing and drying of outside of car is 15 - 20 minutes. Inside = depends how **** you are but vacuuming ,windows wipedown takes, maybe another 20 minutes. Obviously, annual cleaning waxing, etc will take longer.
However, I know some guys on here would rather spend more time cleaning their Porsche than in bed with their wife/girlfriend(s).

You mean, GREEN, as in preparing your carbon producing toy for a road trip? Can't have it both ways. If you want to be "green" wash your shoes and go for a walk.

A CRSpotless device will cut down your wash time by a large extent. Rinse down, soap up, rinse dry, park. Shouldn't take more than 25 minutes for the whole deal. Add 10 minutes if you want to vacuum and dust the interior.
The local touchless/brushless place charges $20 and does a good job, but they're slow. I never been out of there in less than 30 minutes, and it's taken as long as 45 when there's a line.

3 cars, including Porsche, 2.5 hours.
Flawless, top to bottom, no Rejex/wax, just full clean.

Car is garaged 100% time - a rinse/wash is about 1/2hr with a foamer and a quick, 80% microfiber wipe/dry. If I had neighbors, they would not think me cheap as I look like the gardner anyway..
