You can search the forum, there are lots of Rennlister using it. I bought one and it didn't work. After multiple calls and troubleshoooting, Wolfgang just gave me my money back.

i have it on my c4s for almost a year now and it works great. i like being able to lower the top as i approach the car instead of having to drive away and having it lower as i move. i also like being able to close it as i walk away
worth the money and it was a simply install for me
also the window one-touch features are cool, no more toggle switch

Have the smart top and was in on the group buy in the fall, works as advertised, simple install. One touch and remote top are key, also like the chirp(s) on lock/unlock

Ditto for me. The SmartTop is on my 06 cabriolet and was one of the neatest gadgets ever for a late P-car. The best feature is the remote opening and closing. Installation is quite simple, taking perhaps 15-20 minutes.

Love the one touch up and down feature and the honking feature from the alarm.

I paid $479. I missed the group buy, and didn't want to wait for another. Worth it? Well if you consider the outrageous cost of most Porsche options, then this non-Porsche option is well worth the price.

I just got it a couple of weeks ago. Took about 15 minutes to install, of which half that time was reading the instructions. It works great and I love it.

It's a tremendous capability, particularly if you have a 6-speed. You don't have to hold the opening button down at all. I enjoy being able to raise or lower the top remotely with the key some 30 yards away.

I had it for almost a year now and it is great. Works just like the ad says. One word of caution. The weak link is still the poor Porsche key design. One time, I had the one touch top closing with the key, put the key in my pocket and walked away. Came back and found that the top was only partially closed. It must had been the key was accidentally pressed in the pocket while within range to stop the closing motion.

Not a fault of Smart top.

What did you do, take a break for a beer?

I lov it! Should be a factory option (...but then Porsche would probably charge $1000 for it... so never mind).

I REALLY took my time,--that's the HIGH estimate! (You know, cleaning the inside of the rear window while in there, etc....)
