I've never seen another stock 997S tested by a major magazine with a 3.9 0-60 and the C4S's trap was 110.2 vs the 114.8 of the C2S (4.6 mph in trap is pretty significant indeed); this trap speed is also higher than the 380 hp GT3 (113.8). Something still smells a little fishy to me, maybe they had a different diffy/gears???
Other mags got 112mph and 0-60 in 4.1 with a 997C2S. So a great air day, with a sticky launch surface along with proper driving I can definitely see it.
You do have to abuse the hell out of the car to do it though. They mentioned the car wheel hopped all through 1st gear.

Yeah Dave said it.
What I dislike though are the people that as soon as they see the car, they ask what's the 0-60 time ! Ugh!
But you know what, at this level of performance, it really doesn't matter until you get to $200k+ fast. I mean they're all within tenths of seconds. It also depends a lot on the driver.
But like I say the 911 may not be the fastest, or the best handling, or the best braking but it does all three the best-combined if that makes sense.

Dave:
I'd love to believe this is what a normal off the street 997S (like mine ) would do under the right conditions, but 3.9 and a hair (114.8) under a 115 mph trap speed just doesn't jive with the majority of major mag tests. The car just doesn't feel that fast to me, my E55 would run 114-115 traps and this car feels like about 110-112 is about the norm...oh well no biggie
I guess it must matter to a lot of people. Today, coming back to work from lunch I had a couple of motorcycles in the next lane over (45 mph speed) and when the light changed to green, I moderately pushed her up to 45 and the kid with the pocket rocket decided he needed to push it way up AND pull a wheelie. Age. Some people might survive.
My motorcycle instructor once said, "there are old riders and bold riders, but no old bold riders."
