I have both the Escort SRX radar detector/laser jammer and the V1 installed in mine. My reasoning behind that is the V1 provides better radar coverage while the Escort takes care of the laser jamming needs. In the picture below, the laser diffuser units (2) can be seen if you look just below the black lowermost grille on both the left and right sides. My V1 can be seen just above the rearview mirror on the left.

I find that both units gives me the best coverage possible.

Concerning your Laserjammer heads in your lower grill, nice install, very stealthy but not effective, they are way too far back and that install leaves you open for a above angle laser hit (bridge). You will be toast. The laser jammer heads are also to far from your headlites and being so far resessed in they wont protect your front end.

I had a chance to test it out using a laser gun at a series of different angles and it worked VERY well. No issues at all with the laser heads being too recessed at all. The shop that did the install had put the laser units in the exact same place on several other Turbos and it all worked well.

What laser gun did you test at? What extreme angles did you shoot and test at? Oh, i just noticed you live in Bellevue, WA. I would love to meet up and see your K40 and do some testing. Are you game? If so PM me and we can set up a time
