True Airspeed, when I worked for Boeing we would reach 0.97 doing our shake/flutter tests. That IS un-nerving, the winglets are flexing as if they're tin-foil. Also when I was at Boeing we did max take off tests close to a million pounds

I'm guessing you're a Luftwaffe pilot?

I'm impressed. Never knew the 7-4 could get up that high.

In my 987S

Top Down: 150mph for a few minutes while taking someone's S550 to the limiter

Top Up: Indicated 168mph

Nice long stretch of road passing a Marine Corps base in San Diego

Today, I turned my 997S to the dealer. Expecting GT3 delivery in March. I gave it a last run and thought of all of you guys!

By the way, how do you upload reasonable quality photos into the forum?

Regards,

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the car, however, at high speeds with stock suspension, it doesn't feel as planted as the M. Maybe next time its at the dealer, I'll try another alignment.... Still, I can't help but thinking that its just an a$$ engine characteristic

Interestingly enough, I had the same feeling in my previous C2 and it completely went away when I put on a set of H&R's (lower center of gravity I guess). I would add the springs again if not for a few bottoming out issues I had (i.e. big slope driving into my office parking lot and a few other places I frequent).

Got my 997c4s up to 147 for a nanosecond before letting up on gas and slowing done via compression and eventual downshift ( no brakelights). Picked up my son at airport and he wanted to know how the newly installed supercharger effected performance...It was really late at night 1:30am and we were 100% alone on a two lane toll road and could see 2 miles ahead...need I say more. Perhaps the most impressive thing was that I was still in 5th gear and near red line...the car felt ready for more....

not in Porker, but I did quite a prolonged stretch in a 340 Duster, last time I had the nerve to look it was at 137mph and still willing...although I wasn't!

I got on the Ventura Fwy recently, slotted behind someone in Gemballa-styled turbo, he saw me and took off, I tried to keep up and looked down at 136 mph and backed off, he was pulling away from me at least 20mph faster.
