* 1 Yes. new garages often have a smooth finish with a motor- trowel finish. The acid etchies it slightly and the mechanical grip is KEY to years fo lift free paint.
* 2 The kit is a 2 part Epoxy with paint chips and does NOT include a clear coat. It must be purchased sepaaratly along with the small bags of texture (non slip sand-stuff). The clear coat should be applied after a day or two after the epoxy & chips.

Don't buy any of that consumer based stuff, use what the pro's use for Marine, (my business) and industrial uses.

We are having a local company do ours next week. 3 steps - grinding floor to get a perfect surface, apply an epoxy base coat (day one) and next day apply the epoxy coating. It is a 2 day process. No muriatic acid.
