997 - If I had to pike one option, it would be upgraded 19" Porsche wheels. I just think the 19's look so much nicer visually.
997S - The 997S already comes with so many features not standard on the 997 (19" wheels, Xenon's, PASM, sport steering wheel, etc.). The One option I would get would be the power seat package. It comes in so handy in getting the seat back to your favorite position.
I have a feeling you're going to get different answers from everyone though. It's very obvious that people on this forum have vastly different likes and dislikes. Example. I for one cannot stand the body colored painted parts on the inside of the vehicle. I think they totally take away from the beauty of the interior and make the car look pimped out Chevy Cavalierish. Others love them. I like the Porsche Lobster fork wheels. Some people think they are ugly.
I'd suggest you go to a dealer and view as many options as possible and make the decision on what you like/need over others that you don't.
Sport-Chrono -Plus is a lot of fun too. With this option, my favorite feature is having the ability to toggle between non-sport mode and sport mode for those back roads it's great! That combined with the Adaptive-Sport-Seats equates to a truly fantastic driving experience.
PCCB's for the 37 pound reduction in unsprung and rotating weight, the consistent rock solid brake pedal every time you apply the brakes and the high tech stainless steel hardware that never needs a paint job, rotors that never rust and the yellow calipers are just icing on the cake.

I love the idea of PCCBs but would fear the cost of replacing pads and rotors.

Are you asking to find that one option the people like the most, or are you trying to buy a 997 for as little money as you can and therefore want only a few options?
