the car looks absolutely gorgeous.

question: i have '06 997 C2 that was just lowered using Techart Springs @ Lucent Motors (love them). if we're using the same springs (assuming) what would cause the "S" version to sit even lower? different shocks?

trying to learn is all. thanks in advance!

Recall that PSM equipped S models are lower by 10mm than standard Carreras.

The techart spring is same for the carrera S and carrera, then the carrera 4 and 4S have a different spring.
any pasm equipped car is 10mm lower.
If I remember correctly on the techart box it says the springs lower the carrera S by 15mm and the Carrera by 25mm. So I would guess that in the end both models should be pretty close. The 4S would sit the lowest due to the fact that it is the heaviest.

Dan - actually, I believe it is all PASM equipped models are 10mm lower than standard (non PASM) cars. PSM is standard on all (both S and non-S) 997 cars.

rzundel, your car looks great.

I also have a 2006 C4S cab and had it lowered with Techart springs, but when I had them installed I noticed they were actually H&Rs, not Eibachs. Does anyone know if Techart springs are actually H&R or Eiback, or both?

The reason I ask is because I actually wanted the Techart spec springs which I understood would lower the ride nicely, but I ended up with H&Rs which I think are too low (for me, at least). I'm just wondering if these H&Rs I have are actually rebadged Techart springs (with Techart specs) or if the shop just installed a regular set of H&Rs...

Techart has been using eibach, and all the techart springs I have seen so far are white with eibach imprinted.
You must have gotten some other springs unless if techart started using H&R also but it wouldnt make sense.
I think gemballa, cargraphic and i forgot which other companies use H&R

H & R states that the springs for the 997 will lower the car 1.2 inches both front and rear...

It sounds like they installed H&R springs. If you asked for techart and they installed H&R you should have concern. Where did you get the work done? Get them to fix the problem. I did alot of research before making my decision. I went with techart by design, not by chance. The ride has been perfect.

The drop looks good! So hot with the turbo wheels.

Do you have any idea if Lucent removed your rear seats during installation?
