Default Paint issues?

I have been disappointed in Porsche paints for the past 6-7 years. My 2000 C2 had an area of just undercoating, no paint on inside engine deck, 01 Turbo no paint on 1/2 of the door bottom, and just put a K&N (28 HP gain) filter in my 07C2S and noticed there was no paint on the entire back bumper side interior engine panel (Dark Olive metallic which they added at a nice premium). It has primer only, in non-visible areas but hell, just finish painting if your there. It just seems that there is some quality control that is not being done. Not what I'M used to in theses formerly hand-made cars. Makes you wonder if other things are being passed over (more importantly mechanical issues). Just wondering if I'M alone in missing paint in areas. I won't even start with the orange peel in the new paint jobs.
I don't buy them for the paint jobs, but it's cheesy of a high end car company to do that type of work.
Vent complete, thanks for listening

That's unacceptable. Are you the original owner? No body shop repaint? I would bring it back to the dealer and demand a fix. Primer is not capable of withstanding the elements, road salt, etc. the way that finish coat is.

Original owner on all three cars. I was really surprised with the Turbo (the flagship... their words), which Porsche fixed. But having paid an extra 3K for the paint on my new Cab, I would have expected them to an least finish the last few passes and cover the primer.
They did a nice job with the 997, handling and performance-wise. I really like the improvements over the 996.

I wonder if that has anything to do with getting an Individual color rather than picking one of their standard colors. The car might bypass the standard paint line and go through a custom line that is less thorough? Just throwing out possibilities.
