If your Photoshop comes with Adobe ImageReady, use that and save the image under "save for web" or something like that. That will give you a small filesize, yet adequate quality. I had that problem once, reduced the image to the max file size allowed, and the quality dropped so much. Then I discovered that option in ImageReady.

I never thought of that, although Ben's way works very well.

Chip, your avatar could still be a lot better.

Why not post the pic as an attachment and I'll resize it for you with better resolution, if you like.

OK Ben I'll take you up on that. I can clean the image up but I still can't figure how to size it using paint. I was trying to make the image size the same as your avatar. Thanks for your help.

Try this:

I don't have Photo Editor on my work computer but I tried another program. I'll do another one for you when I get home tonight.

Here's another "take" on your Avatar. Photoshop "scrubbed" to remove those pesky double-yellow lines and unsightly fence. And straightened the image a bit. It's only 13k, too.

That was too large of a image size and got the dreaded tilt message. That's the problem is get it to be Ben's size, be clear and have it go through. I do appreciate it.

Leader. That's 200x177. It's got to be at under 180x180 and under 19.5k. Thanks I know there is a way, somehow.

Adding that Ben's is 240x180. How did he that? Maybe it's my computer.

These are the requirements, from Rennlist:

"Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 250 by 300 pixels or 24.4 KB (whichever is smaller)."

Leader, nice job btw.

You are limited in the size of your Avatar by your "non-member" status. At the risk of stating the obvious, "Members have bigger ones."

Here's one that's under 180 pixels wide and now under 11k.
