Just got back from visiting rick @ crown (In cville on vacation). The 997s are gone, but they are selling a sweet 2003 996 Turbo for ~80K. The car is in great shape, 14K miles, just not sure it is the right time for me and the wife. Rick was first class - good luck. Ross

If anyone is interested I just spoke with Dharma in C-ville, as of 4PM today (1/2/07) they still have the 2006 Carrera Cab Slate Gray MSRP 102280 Sale 79077. Pretty car.

There still a lot of people who aren't members.
I think Rennlist should prevent people from going over 500 posts if they aren't members.

Um, if it makes you happy I'll stop after 7 more posts. What does that have to do with this thread anyway?, just offering something helpful as I have been for about 5 years.

It doesn't really have anything to do with this post. It was in response to DJ's comment about the Rennlist membership paying for itself. My response wasn't signaling you out. It was just an arbitrary number I came up with.

In all seriousness though, if you been on here for 5 years...why haven't you become a member?

I guess I just figured that when I got my pcar I'd be spending a lot of time on this site. I know it's not free to run so I'd help contribute to the costs. I guess not all people feel this way.

Perhaps he feels that he has contributed more useful information than he has received!
Maybe we should pay him?

Do you know how many years I've been a paid member?, yes I didn't renew this year. Do you know how many thousands of dollars I've spent with the sponsors that support this forum?. Or maybe the 150K I spent purchasing a Turbo form one of the board Sponsors? Stupid comments really defeat the purpose of the Porsche forums, offer noting to the knowledge base and turn newcomers off to participating. If you have comments for me, I suggest you leave them out of the useful threads with valid Porsche related info and send me a PM. If the Moderators want all non paid users to leave, then I'M sure they will say so.
I've been driving Porsche s since 1982, modifying, restoring and tracking them, I currently own 6 from a 64 to an 07, so yes I have a fair amount of knowledge to share.

If you were a former supporter, and simply chose not to participate this past year, please accept my apology!! I just got caught up in the flow!

Aren't you overreacting just a little? If you've been here since 2001, you've surely seen this plenty enough times to not be offended.

My post was from 9:17 pm. Generally, we turn in with the little one around 12 am, and then one of us gets up around 3:00 to feed, and then the other around 6:00. If I can get 4-5 hours of solid sleep in a night, I'm good for the day.

No worries. Typical internet drama. Most arguments on here wouldn't happen in person over a beer.

At time of my post green light was on in your avitar indicating you were "on line". You may have just left the rennlist site up overnight, just thought you might be up with the new one
