Yeah, he mentioned that he saw your tattoo as he spied your way. He told me it read "WENDY". I told him you had told me you got it while on vacation, and that it actually reads:

Your tires could be cupped, or feathered and may never get better by balancing. Have someone inspect the tires.

You might have an out of round tire if you have balanced them all and it still does it. It seems the dealer could figure that out. I have in the past (not with a Porsche) taken cars to frame shop who checked all aspects of the car and the tires. Most big cites have shops that deal with high performance cars.

This would drive me absolutely nuts, Porsche's just don't do that.

PS, your in Colorado, Discount Tires have always been good for me

Thanks everyone for the replies. I certainly didn't think it was normal...
The tires are Pirelli's and I'm running the pressures listed for the tires.
I didn't realize how bad it was until i got into my A4 this morning and drove on the highway and steering wheeld didn't move a mm.
I think i'll bring it in again and have the tech go with me for a ride....

Yeah I had a problem like that in another car of mine, it turned out that the front two tires (FWD) had blisters 'in' them from driving the car somewhat vigourously. Turned out the tires were a 'bad' batch and I got them replaced

I've gone as fast as 131 mph in my car with the top down and with PASM in sport mode, yet didn't have a single wobble.

I've also had the experience in other vehicles of a bad tire causing this. I'd check the balance first, but if that doesn't fix it, you probably have a tire problem.

Have remained stable since pickup in Stuttgart. Good to about 180mph. Rock solid. Never a wobble.

i was up to 110 yesterday on the highway and it was smooth as silk.
i had some major issues at similar speeds in my cayman s and it was an out of round tire. go to a shop that specializes in balancing and is using a hunter balancing machine. have all 4 tires road force balanced. my bet is at least one of them is bad. You can also have them take the tire off and make sure its not the rim. the tech's experience with the machine is almost as important as using the proper equipment. I had my OEM PS2's balanced over 5 times before it was done right and stuck. good luck, and if you need help finding a shop go to the hunter website.

I had the same problem with my Cayman... Took it to the dealer and they said they rebalanced the tires... The issue remained... I finally took it into a shop with a Hunter machine and had all 4 tires rebalanced... Wobble gone!!! You would not believe how far off they were from the factory... I'm sure all the dealer did was wave the magic wand then told me it was fixed...

My car doesn't wobble but it doesn't feel as precised as it did. When I turn the wheel, it takes a slight nano second for the tires to turn in that direction. Just a gut visceral feeling but it is noticeable. It also feels a whole lot more bouncy than it used to be...that may be just my imagination. All this happened after two hard days of autocrossing.

Wonder if this is what you are referring to as wobbling? Anyone has any thoughts? Do I need alignment. I have two brand new front PS2 tires.

There are always exceptions but I've found in all my cars Michelins seem to suffer from this problem the least.

Could be a loose sway bar or other suspension problem.
