Default Cherohala Skyway...Tail of the Dragon...WOW!

Last minute decision to jump in the car and take off to the Cherohala today and do the the Tail of the Dragon tomorrow. The weather has been superb and visibility is miles and miles! Just a wonderful drive on the Cherohala today and live Bluegrass music this evening.

Some pics:

How beautiful! I live in Charlotte and have been wanting to get over that way, also Blowing Rock, Asheville.
Have fun and keep in touch, would love to join up for the next gathering.

What a day!!! Drove the Dragon a few times and once with a group of bikers! What a thrill!!! It is one amazing road and made for the 911. The chat with the bikers was the fun part for me. These guys know the road so well... they are the guys with *****! A great bunch and very helpful.

The Dragon was followed by driving the Hellbender on US28. It has less bends and amazing scenery and in my opinion more suited to our cars. I loved them both and I'm tingling just thinking about the drives. Guys we must organise a fair sized group meet and drive them both. Just a few pics today and here are a few starting with The Tree of Shame!:
