Yesterday a few friends and I went on a drive through the canyons before it started raining and thought I would share.
Below is a crappy pic from my phone that I took.

The guy with the M5 has had it only a few days and has about 600 miles on it. Furthermore he is not a great driver. BUT he was obviously the only one that could keep me in his sights going through the canyons. The M Coupe was a good driver but he really needed some new rear tires so he wasnt really competing.
We lined up on a long straight away, about 1/4 mile and we ran three different times. The first time i missed 3rd gear. THe second two runs I took the M5 by about a car length and let off at about 115mph. I could tell that once we got up to 100mph he started to gain on me.

I think once the M5 gets broken in a bit more and the driver becomes more educated he should definitely be quicker than me, at least on the straight.

All in all it was a fun day until it started raining
It sure did feel good to embarrass the M5 though
