Default Gag the nanny....

I'm funny about labels in my shirts and other annoying things: like the fricking seatbelt placards. I figure anyone who doesn't want to wear one can wait in Darwin's waiting room 'till they're time for all I care, but no one needs to tell me to buckle-up! ...and this placard sits right in my line-of-sight.

On my Boxster I used about five different chems and I got all the printing off but not the base adhesive.. So this time, I got some window tint film and made a simple, overlay as a visual patch.

It's not perfect - and I'll recut the size - plus it's a fair bit darker than the visor ..and I had to tone down the gloss with a little 1500.. but it should not catch my eye quite so easily as the contrasting W/Y/R on the placard.

Easier solution:

Buy a copy of Playboy and pick any pictures you like, cut it out and stick it there.

Instead of an Avatar, that would be called an In-the-car.

There was someone selling precut, adhesive backed cover-ups on Ebay a while back. I ordered a set, about $15 or so, and they worked fine. Good color and texture match and less than two minutes to install.

I'm thinking that with my lighter colored leather (natural brown) it may not be that simple as with something like black visors.

Hi,
Here is a thread on removing the stickers. If you
let the alchol set for five minutes it will speed
up the removal.

I have extra BLACK coverups for the non-mirror side. My Visors are grey so I opted to remove the stickers on the Grey side and use the larger coverups on the black mirror lid.
PM me if you are interested.
