I did the search for a loooooooooooong time and could not find exactly what I need to know. I woud like to add the largest spacers I can on the rear of my car just to brin the tires to the edge. The car is stock and not lowered. Factory 5mm do not seem to do enough??? Also, where can I purchase these....Thanks.

LeonardZ helped me select a set of Ruf spacers and associated lugnuts for my 996TT.
At this point it seems the best setup is 15mm spacers with pressed in studs, and new lug nuts for the rear, and 5mm spacers with stock lug bolts for the front.
You can call Ruf in Dallas and ask to speak with Wayne Corley.

You probably should go with longer lug bolts with spacers. Porsche and FVD both include longer bolts with their 5mm product. I know that Posche uses 17mm spacers with the 67mm offset wheels on the C2 - I'd be worried that 17mm on the 51mm offset wheels on the C4 might be too much. The guys at Wheel Enhancement usually have great suggestions - call or email them.

I have 23mm spacers on my C2 S with 305mm/19" rubber and that is tight! So I'm not sure how that helps you but uhhh I thought that might help??
Oh and with 23mm spacers the car looks sooo mean!
But I made the mistake of putting 23mm spacers in the front to, it makes the front end 'hunt' a bit if you hit a bump, crack etc. Nothing serious but I'll probably change them to 14mm or something in the future.

I have 5mm on my C4S with the stock Classic 19" rims and 305 rubber and it looks just right to me. With lobster or classic 19s, a 5-7 mm spacer is probably just right without making the car look blingy - not to mention the fact that the handling dynamics will likely be totally screwed up by just widening the rear track.
