Should Porsche include a "manettino" in 998?
Ferrari has it, so why not Porsche? Is it a good thing or a bad thing for the driving experience?
And for those who don't know what it is. It's a small rotary switch on the steering wheel that allows the user to adjust throttle sensitivity, traction control, electronic differential, stability control, suspension stiffness, and speed of shift with a manumatic gearbox. In the case of Ferrari there are 5 discrete settings: "Winter", "Rain', "Sport", "Track" and "Off".
And for those who don't know what it is. Hey, I'm Italian and I had to Google "manettino." Why not just tell us what it is, maybe post a pic of it?

How can I vote to have Porsche tear half of the "luxury" and "assist" stuff out of the cars? Remember the good old 3-dial climate control? Analog dials? Oh to have a 997S in it's simplest most basic form - a real driver's car... More settings, no thanks...

I'm surprised how Porsche centric this baord is. Any true Car-nut would know from many maganzien reviews that the Manettino is not the lever, but the control that adjust the locking ability of the Ferrari LSD and PSM (ASR in Ferrari-speak?).
I voted Yes, b/c the existence of it means that the car would have a proper limited slip differential (adjusable in this case). We already have 3 settings (with Sprot button) of PSM intervention but no LSD, and our LSD is an electronic Nanny called ABD (poor man's LSD solution), so the Ferrari system is much better...
Ahh... and I want the levers too (PDK)
