Thanks Spottash for the feedback.

All, it looks like the response has slowed a little. We have 11 people so far please pass the word around.

Thanks,

Ed

I would never have done something like this to my baby without having heard how easy and risk free it was from those that have gone before. It really is that easy and the benefit is awesome! Audio cues for remote lock and unlock, remote top operation, all windows up and down operation and so much more! Porsche really should make this all part of the base cabrio functionality.
wow!! sounds like a really cewl chip!

Sorry for the delay but I would like to be part of this Group-Buy as well for the "Smart-Top" and my car is a 2000 C2 Cab. Actually I was the first one to show interrest on the 996 board, but did not get any response from esef until today... Anyway if the Group-Buy is still up, I would like to join. Please let me know what is the next step.
Thanks,
Bao.

Botsy67, I responded back on Nov 15th.

This makes 13 people so far. The GB started on the 15th with the expectation that it will be on for 2 weeks. If everyone is OK with this, lets have it run until Nov 30th. We need to reach 20 people to make it 15% discount.

Once the GB is closed, Sven will send the discount code to us to use when you order the smartTOP directly from them.

Thanks,

Ed

I wanted all to know I organized the last group buy and will tell you that I absolutely love this device. It should be standard on such a fine car. You will not regret the purchase, the easy installation or the convenience this product provides. Enjoy!!

SilverSteel, thanks for setting the last one up. You got many people to get in on the GB. I'm hoping to get 20-30 people on this GB.

Thanks,

Ed

The responses have slowed somewhat. It has been suggested that I expand this group buy to members outside of the Rennlist forum. I have posted on several other Porsche sites with a link back to this thread. Hopefully this will generate additional interest.

Please help spread the word.

Thanks,
Ed

Everyone, including one response from Renntech, it looks like we have 17 people on this GB. We just need three more to reach the 20% discount level.

*** Mistake 20 people gives us 15% discount***

It looks like we're getting closer to the target of 20. To anyone already with this mod, is it fairly straightforward to install in a 997 cab?

Hi Ed,

Is this open to UK members to? (with additional shipping charges of course)
What is the interest so far, how many people do you have?

Thanks
Nolan
