Default Keep your eyes out for a Seal 997-S for me...

We're on a serious mission to replace, or supplant, our Boxster-S. We've come to love Seal Gray. We also want a 'Touring' 997 Coupe vs. sport. Meaning; a plush car with all that push-button, sissy stuff but with a shifter. I've found a couple of beautiful slush-box cars and Cabs ...neither work. My trust officer says: stick to 05's to keep the cost down.

There's a killer GT Silver with black Sports Adaptive, etc. in Miami for about $69k ..one of you got a great Red/Black one recently, so there's cars out there; I just need to find the right combo.

How dark does that Coca look in person? (we don't want Gray interior unless it's that dark Natural..)

Here is a quick search I did on AutoTrader - 2005 - Coupe - Manual Trans - Gray. There are a few "S" cars on the list.

Also do a Pre-Owned search on the Porsche web site.

Seal gray is one awesome color and was my next pick if I didn't find my arctic first.

Cocoa leather is awesome with certain colors... it's a purplish brown - looks better than it sounds.

+1 for the Seal Gray (mine is Seal Gray 997S 6-speed )

Gota: Thanks.. I watch cars.com, ebay and AutoTrader. I'm pretty much off P-dealers. I completely understand running a business but they often act as if they're running 2 star resturants - expecting attitude will pull a third. I'm a simple fellow from Wisconsin: I just want to buy a car and leave. I may have to wait for the temperature to drop .. and retail and real estate to fall a little further.

There's a juicy Seal in CT but his ask was $81K for an 05 - waaaay off. There's another in San Jose but not 110% of what we're looking for to make that long trip. (I went to Canada to buy a Mercedes when the currency deal was working, so I'm not adverse to travel for the right deal..)

LL: I like BIG pictures of Seal cars - yours is sure pretty, but it's a little more racey than we're looking for. I kitesurf to satisfy my wild side but drive like an old man.

Damn Chris - that Cocoa sounds like the offal the hunters around here leave aside the road! There's a Seal in FL with this interior. I suspect that would make a great contrast with Silver but maybe too close in depth of color to Seal. Like you say: Have to see it.

Thanks all.
