Default With pse, now my 911 sounds like...

a panther with a low deep growl, prowling on the streets. Very nice. I just got it back this past thursday (took them 2.5 days to install :s )

First thing I did was remove the brown hose. Okay, pse doesn't have the high pitch scream and whine like an F430. But it does add some bite and substance to my lazy tiptronic. Now it's a lot more fun driving the tip in manual mode, just so I can play with the rpm and scare the dogs and general public. I love it!

I'm going to wait a few weeks, to make sure the PSE doesn't break before I install the cut off switch. Definitely a must install for people with the tips. It's not too loud, now my car looks and sounds like a true sports car. Now I just need to do a pde to complete the circle.

I made vids of before and after install. So i'll post as soon as I transfer it to my computer.

Thanks everyone for your help and input!

Well, of course it won't be like an F430, very different engines... but your 911 would spend less time being repaired at the track, too

Hey do you still have the before & after videos? I want to hear what this exhaust sounds like!

Cheers,

After reading how much everybody likes their PSE I was ready to do it until I read last months Motor Trend. Their long term car had to have both sides of the PSE changed by 18,000 miles due to malfunctions.

When I do it it will be aftermarket. I am leaning towards AWE at this time.

Took me a long time to decide, but just ordered the Fabspeed MaxFlo Performance Mufflers yesterday.

I went back and read a few of the old exhaust threads and there were several comments relative to "liking the sound and the price."

Fabspeed takes 28 pounds off the weight of the car and "supposely" makes 12hp.

I think I remember reading that the Autoweek long term car also had problems with the PSE. Sure like the way it sounds though.

ResB - Thanks for posting the clip. Sounds great!

The factory warranty should cover you for 4 years if it was installed at the factory. However, these reports make you wonder if an aftermarket exhaust might make more sense than a retrofit of the pse.

ohsixx - I have the Fabspeed and am very pleased. When do you expect to have it installed?
