Wow! I've always loved that car! I've seen 2 of those up close in person, GORGEOUS!
And does that rear spoiler assist in braking as well? Is that what I think it was doing?

Default WOW ... !

This is the 1st time I've seen this car in motion. I'm flat impressed! But, who wouldn't be?

Obviously the car is FAST ... and KEWL, too! But, man ... a mill and change? I guess a TT would be much EZr to park in my garage.

BTW ... why does VW always have such weird names for their cars? Veyron? How does one pronounce that anywho? Tourag? Huh?

Neve rmind, I'll take my Veyron in BLACK, please.

It's built by Bugatti Automobiles SAS, it's a subsidiary of VW AG
And they actually sold the vehicles at a loss!
Check out the history and specs HERE

yes, the rear wing slows the car when braking at high speed. I forget how much but it is very substantial

That's one car you wouldn't be happy to buy at "invoice" I'll go with sticker thanks..

(5million GBP per car to cover production and R&D costs with the low numbers produced - ouch)

By the way Icon, I'm in B'ham tonight - unfortunately not for PDE. What's with all this rain? Boo hiss!

Long story on the drive, but I wasn't about to say no! Yeah, we played a show here tonight, heading to Columbia S.C. right now. Thankfully that's the last of the outdoor shows till next summer.

I'm the one driving the Porsche. The others have Astons, Jags, BMWs etc. I've tried to talk them into getting better wheels, but there's only so much a guy can do. Seriously though, I'm the Irish guy in a band of Englishmen. I think it's the English equivalent of affirmative action, or something silly like that. Enjoyed B'ham, but would have enjoyed it more if not for heavy rain and if I'd had a chance to do PDE while there.

I run a men's lifestyle/automotive magazine up here in the great white north.

Our website is but a work in progress but you can get a feel for our style at DRIVENmag.com

We were honoured with the only media invitation for Canada to drive the car in Sicily on the international media launch in Oct 2005.

I linked to my article on CanadianDriver.com just because it was easier to dig out than the link on our old site

DRIVENblog.com

Have to get off my butt and get it up on the new site.
