Default Why'd this car not sell...?

I watched this car for some time. Seemed like a good deal ... I guess. But, not one bid. NOT ONE...!

Anyone know why? Hell ... it's like 12-13K off the sticker!

I didn't really notice the interior color.

But, hey ... cocoa brown (special color) with aluminum trim (which ties in the exterior GT hue) seems to be kinda 'unique' and kewl, too.

The color scheme don't bother me ... seen worse. Think I've owned worse.

Some think that is a good color combo, but I don't! I have not really warmed up to the Cocoa interior. It reminds me of the Nauga-hyde from years ago.

Good price, but for one thing it has 500 miles on the clock..... also consider there are P dealers in less competitive areas of U.S. who will order-to-spec a new 2007 for as much as 7% off MSRP, so for only ~$4K more you get your own personalized car one model yr newer and take delivery w/around 10 factory miles on the odometer.

Nothing wrong with that color combo, cocoa is much more attractive than most photos show.

I agree. I'm not sure you can get 7% off, but you certainly can order a car and pay less than MSRP. Probably you can get a 2006 for about 4-5K less than a 2007, but being one year older it will always be worth 4-5K less. So unless the car is exactly what you want and you plan on keeping it for many years, you are better off with an '07.

That's good enough reason for me to not buy, I don't care how much it's discounted.

Funny thing is, though the description says "automatic," if you look at the picture you can plainly see it is a manual transmission car!!

I have to say I did not look at the interior shots myself... LOL. I think that might be worse!! no wonder they are trying to 'discount' it.. they thing the transmission is supposed to shift for them!

"revised" description has it listed as a 'manual transmission' as does the photographs. I think it is a 6-spd.

I wonder if it has been used as a 'demo car'. 500 miles on the clock.

There must be something we're missing here. Anyway, I was just curious. I've seen all kinds of cars sell that were much worse and higher priced, too.

As others have said... Discounting on new order 2007s is getting very attractive with the winter months approaching. How about this - 9% off MSRP on a new order November build? Makes one wonder why you'd take a leftover 2006 with too much equipment and 500 miles for an extra couple of thousand off? Heck, the 1st year depreciation is worth more than the extra discount.

It is amazing how a year or so ago you couldn't find a 997 on the lot, nor one to test drive. Now you can demo any model (how many are there now, 997, 997S, C4, C4S, Cab, etc.), pick up a leftover, order a new one (plenty of allocations - when do you want your car?).

I think a lot of this depends on how active you are in shopping. If you go to your local dealer, they are going to say "these are high demand cars, we don't discount, etc." Then after you shop and negotiate, they start to say "Well, OK, we can come down 4%", which in the end on the order form can turn into 7 to 9%. Better to make $2,500 on a car then zero (dealer takes allocation for floor plan and sits on the new car for months, costing thousands in interest) I suppose.

Default I found my car on ebay

The price was $3K less then this one with black interior and Evolution Stage 3 Kit, only 2500 miles.

I like the interior colour but I am not sure that I would want it in a few years.
