Default NEWBIE just Zaino detailed ´07 C2 and added Spacers

Hi,

After have been waiting for my new MY 2007 C2 cab to arrive, I finaly recived it from Denmark -- (I live in Spain).

I ordered the car asking them not to detail it, so I recived it "as is" when leaving factory.

Ordered it with navigation, telephonemodul, parkassist and small things like that.

I spend yesterday detailing the car with Zaino products.

1) Dawn and afterwards Zaino carwash
2) Z-2 with ZFX and off
3)Z-6
4)Z-2 with ZFX and off
6)Z-8

I am very happy with the result -- the Black A1 paint is so GLOSSY.

I have also put on H&R spacer Track+, 7 mm front and 14 mm back, and I think the result is just right in the eye. Tightened the bolts 130Nm/96ftlb.

There have been many treads about spacers, I was a little confused myself but I think I hit THE size. Remember C2 with 18" Carrera III alloys.

Today its a little windy and raining so pictures is from the garage.

Best from Spain.

Oh my, that's shiny.

Lovely.

Does the rain in Spain fall mainly on the plain?

Your car looks great....gotta love black when its all clean and Zaino'ed!!! Anyway, the spacers did a nice job of bringing out the wheels. I have 5mm Porsche spacers on all 4 corners and at times I think I should have went with a bit more out back...I was a little worried about clearance since I also lowered w/ H&R springs. Enjoy your beautiful new Porsche!!

Very nice! I wish my car came that way from the dealer. You gave me an idea, next time I order a car, I will ask the dealer not to do any detailing (They *ucked up my paint). My detailer said he will need to polish the paint to get all the surface scratches out. The dealer insists that all cars have this after sitting on the lot. The dealer asked to have another chance in detailing it. I'll give them another chance ans ee what they can do.

BTW- I did take a look at other black paint Porsches and BMWs on the dealer's lot and many had the same issues with their paint.

Sorry to rant on your thread. You did a great job!

Wonderful job getting her prep'd the correct way and not from the dealer!

Being a black owner myself, I can say Zaino does do one hell of a job getting it very clear and shiny. One day, spray some Z8 over that and see how much deeper it looks. Almost, not quite, but almost looks like a wax topping went on.

For some people that wanted that deeper wet look, as much as I hate doing it as it attracts dust, is for black, top with Souveran paste wax. Now you have the black mirror effect of Zaino with a deeper wetter look.

Regards,
Deanski

Attempt at stealing this thread...

Several years ago I saw a sign up in the lobby of a hotel in San Francisco,--"Black Porsche Owners Club."

Does this mean the membership is only open to black Porsches or black PEOPLE with Porsches?

I'm not sure.
If there was a "Blue Porsche Club" would it be for depressed people?

That is just about the shiniest Porsche I have ever seen !
