Poll: Frequency of Oil Change, non-tracking owners
For those who do not track your car, how often will you change your oil? There's no perfect way to poll this since some people go by calendar rather than mileage, so please do your best to respond with mileage in mind.

I searched this thread topic and found countless answers, but many of them were skewed because of the track factor. I understand people changing oil more often if they track the car regularly or semi-regularly, but what about the rest of us?

I happened to see this Used Oil Analysis on a car using Mobil 1 ow40...I realize it's not a P car but it does give an indication of the durability of the factory fill...this car only holds 4 qts. versus the 911's 9qt. system...had almost 3 qts. of make-up oil but it was a 20,000 mile oil change interval...

At the rate I'm driving I'll have 15k miles on it 1 year after my purchase so I'll change it then. My dealer said time not just milage should be taken into account, change your oil at least once a year.
Also I'll add I have almost 6k miles and have not added a quart yet and plan to attend 1-2 driving event(s) per year.
