Default ideas on Aerokits?

I have been toying with the idea of adding a kit on to my 997s. I saw the techart kit pictured here at the dealer today. It was very nice in person. I love the sideskirts and front spoiler. Where my problem starts is in the rear spoiler area I like the bigger add on spoiler pictured here but I also like the ability of the stock spoiler to retract. So techart makes a add-on spoiler to the stock one. I have listed a pic of it as well. Was wondering what you guys thought on this kit. Ultimately it will come down to me and my opinion but I thought I would at least get some outside opinions. Can't seem to even get the wife to look at the pictures. Seriously she just says get what makes you happy. I guess that is the million dollar question. Which one?

Golfman: You are a brave individual to consider a aerokit in Tampa! As far as big spoilers go: have you checked out the Hammon kits? (My spelling may be off). They do a classic whaletale that I like the best besides the factory aerokit.

I have a house in South Tampa, and I had my 997S there for about 9 months. I found the roads and inclines to be very challenging with normal clearance. Most memorable off the top of my head is the exit of Kinkos/Fed Ex on Kennedy and Dale Mabry and a friends house on Bayshore.

However: Gandy Bridge is a blast in our cars at dusk...

Yea, the roads hear suck for the most part. Very choppy. City is always under construction. I guess in that respect I am brave.

Not sure exactly what wing you're refering to. I did see a black one that looks alot like the old whale tales. I like that look to. Is this site in german can't read anything .

That's the one! I offered the site because I spelled the company name wrong in the first post.

This is my favorite wing for the car, 996 GT2 style:

The manufacturer is Anziano's. I don't know about quality; I just like what I see in the photos.

Default Vote for factory Aerokit

I still like my factory Aerokit:

Besides, they (Porsche) know what they are doing and have tested this kit.

As of now, I had to change to GT3 lower lips due to many curb rash problems and low/steep driveways. A new one will be shot with color and kept in storage so it doesn't get trashed as my other one did. Maybe it's time to remove this lower lip. Besides, I may be going to H&R springs to lower the height as the car looks too high up stock.

Still, can't beat Porsche for best design and function. Other "wings" start to look like "Ricer" type cars with those really silly wings as if they were on tracks.

Regards,
Deanski
