Default Some C4S vs GT3 and Turbo questions....

I'm sure this may have been spoken about before, but I cannot find it. So, I tho't I"d ask ....

When I look at the C4S vs the Turbo or the GT3, there seems to be a difference in ride height. True? I put my hand under the fender apex on each car and the Turbo and GT3 were a finger and a half (or so) lower than C4S. Not a very scientific method of measurement.

I know my 993 C4S was like "SUV height" before I tossed some HD Bilsteins, M030 springs and TT sways at it. Now, it is like RS height. I like the way it looks and responds compared to the SUV height with which it came.

My questions are .... is there a height difference between the GT3/Turbo and the C4S? And, WHY? Cus the C4S is AWD? But, so isn't the Turbo, eh? And .... can the C4S be 'dropped' to the GT3/Turbo height within reason?

Another query .... both the GT3 and Turbo are 3.6l displacements while the C4S is 3.8l. Yet, both are quicker 0-60 (yeah, I understand the Turbo has turbos so that goes without saying) ... why is the GT3 faster? Cus it's lighter by a couple hundred pounds? How does Porsche get another 60 ponies outa the GT3?

Thanx. I knew some folks would know.

Ground clearance
C4S 4.3 in
997 Turbo 4.3 in
GT3 3.66 in

GT3 gets it's power:
From R&T:
At the heart of these improvements is the 415-bhp normally aspirated engine, a high-revving, atmosphere-ripping gem based on the 996 GT3’s 3.6-liter flat-6. In 997 guise, reductions in internal rotating mass (lighter pistons, piston pins, crankshaft and titanium connecting rods) help raise the redline to a staggering 8400 rpm. Breathing is enhanced by a larger throttle body and a new 3-stage variable-intake manifold. A lightweight, dual-stage exhaust system reduces backpressure at higher rpm, while the engine’s VarioCam delivers a wider range of valve timing.

you can lower a c4s as lowa as youd like to go, but it wont be as fast as a turbo or a gt3.
c4s shares no engine parts with a turbo or a gt3 completly diffrent engines. turbo or gt3shares more engine parts with your 993 then a c4s

If you put the car magazines in the "throne" room, you'll read 'em!

But, when I'm in the privy I'm not much into 'muti-tasking' ... ya know?
