Lightbulb 997 Color examples - need your help !!

Folks,

I am relatively new to the 997 forum, but have spent the last few years with the 964 owners at Rennlist and Smartgroups. A recurring question was "what does this color look like".

I have a hobby site that covers most Porsche, and I now plan to add a 997 section as I am a new owner. As part of my 964 pages I added a summary of all color variants with pictures from forum members. I'd like to do the same for the 997 so future owners can browse and see all alternatives in a single view.

To give you an idea of what I want to produce, below is a link to my 964 pages :
http://www.porschepassion.com/964.htm

and here is my 964 color page
http://www.porschepassion.com/colours.htm

All I need is a reasonable photo, a Colour name, paint code and your name (optional) and model number.

As I'll be adding some 997 pages covering the latest models, any useful info would of course be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Al.

I thought only silver and grey were available. Today I counted 6 911s on the road (4 997s and 2 996s). All were either silver or grey. The one Boxster I saw was also dark grey. Mine is Guards Red, sorry, don't have photo at the moment.

In that case, I guess he dosen't need a "color" page, so a plain black & white page would suffice

Thanks to those who have sent me pictures so far. I have started to build the 997 color page which can be viewed by all here

http://www.porschepassion.com/colours997.htm

Still need lots more pictures to make the page useful.

Thanks again to all for your support, and feel free to suggest any other info you think would be helpful to include for future 997 owners.

Thanks for the encouragement. It is one of the biggest choices to make, so seeing lots of pictures of "real" cars in all the different colors makes it much easier to see each one in contrast.

Unfortunately, its only of help if we get enough forum members to provide a picture, but hopefully now a few photos have started arriving we will start to fill the list of available colors.

Al - Check out this Porsche dealer's site. They have the following cars listed with pics. These would be EXCELLENT examples to put on your site.

http://www.euroclassics.com/ then click on "On the Lot" then click on "New" and then select 2006 and later 2007.

o 2006 Dark Olive Metallic w/ Sand Beige Full Leather
o 2007 Carmon Red Metallic w/Sand Beige Leather

Paint-to-Sample cars
o 2006 Glacier Blue Metallic w/Sand Beige Leather
o 2006 Maritime Blue w/Black Leather
o 2006 Baltic Blue Metallic w/Sand Beige Leather (Coupe)
o 2006 Linen w/Sea Blue Leather
o 2006 Baltic Blue Metallic w/Silk Grey Full Leather (Cab)
o 2006 Stone Grey Metallic w/Linen Leather
o 2006 Arctic Silver Metallic w/Lipstick Leather
