Default Fabspeed muffler bypass pipes

Anyone here using Fabspeed's muffler bypass pipes? How loud are they really? Is there a lot of resonance? They sound great on Fabspeed's website. Looking for something for a 997 and really not too impressed with my options. PSE sounds good but is expensive. Tubi sounds good but is really expensive. The Fabspeed exhaust is cheap but I don't love the sound.

I've always used Fabspeed but they do have some resonance. I love their sound w/ 100 cell cats on my 02 996TT but there is resonance. Don't drive it much so its no problem. Will be driving the 997 more often. Any suggestions?

consider A.W.E. ...Anecdotal evidence points to being louder than stock but quieter than Fabspeed, with no resonance. They offer 300 cell cats that are emission compliant and headers too.

Bob,
Was that with the Fabspeed exhaust? Or muffler bypass pipes?

I would be concerned with the complete loss of back pressure. You have to have some back pressure in the system otherwise you lose low end torque. Someone please correct me if I am wrong on this.

hey truble,
I installed last week on my 996 --so call it the same-- they are really loud-- you wouldnt want to use everyday driving unless you are truly in the desert. My friend has a 997s and i think that has a healthy sound. Before these I had PSE which was pretty loud but these are over the top--Also tmrw Im putting on the fabspped cans onto the same guy 997s --so I will let you know--if ucare

Mike,
That is what I thought. I would like this car to be more of a daily driver so they are probably not for me. Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a full exhaust is a better option.
