Default Road Trip day 3

Day 3 of my road trip has completed leg 1 before heading to Alabama next week.

Today I crossed thru Kansas, Missouri and into Illinois covering 744mi thru the Heartland of America with perfect weather except for headwinds in Kansas.

More than 90% of the drive was on US Highways primarily two lane un divided that allowed the oportunity to practice PASSING Skills..how fun.

Three day total 2037 mi.

MJ,--several years ago I did a USA tour and my goal was to stay off the freeways as much as possible. (In some areas you have no choice). It's a far better way to experience America! You're doing great,--keep the updates rolling in!

MJ you get the best gas mileage I've ever seen. Good luck on the rest of the drive. Say hello to Jeff Pruner when you get there. And I'll say this. The barbecue lunch on our first day at Barber was out of site. Could eat like that every day.
