Great video. Too bad he was cut short in his comments regarding the cars fun factor. I believe he was about to say the 2 was funner to drive. They're both great cars. I driven them both hard on the Texas Motor Speedway and on the street and the C2 is the funner car to drive. I could own either, or both (wife would kill me), and I choose the C2. Thanks for posting it was really nice to watch. I wish the rest was available. Why was it cut off??? You wouldn't have cut would you? Your a 4 owner.
Anyone who has tracked their car knows that most of us are using just a small proportion of the car's potential. The 4 will be faster in less traction conditions and the 2 will be faster in dry conditions. In the end does it really matter? I have the 2S and love it, but if I had the 4S, I would love it too! To each their own- kind of like cabs and coupes.
Get C2S and with money saved, get some nice options.
Unless you're not capable of good judgement in less than optimal conditions, absolutely in love with the wider hips (that most people have to squint at to distinguish C2 from C4) or plan to drive in the winter, this is a no brainer: C2 all the way. Lighter more responsive steering, more fun to drive, overall a lighter car, and the AWD system is about to go electronic a la Turbo anyways - so the viscous coupling unit will soon be "out of date".
Is that Top Gear? A great car show shown in the UK that I've seen a couple of times when over there on the BBC. I wish they would pick it up in the US. They test and compare a lot of interesting cars, with the usual British Wit.
A Porsche with right hand drive. I hate driving in England, although I was better at it when I was younger. Shifting with your left hand while trying not to hit mailboxes. I'm sure there are those that have mastered it. I'd be dead if I had to drive a right hand car in Europe or the US or the other way around.
Sorry if this is OT, I love my C2 and would only have the C4 if I lived in a wet climate.
I love that guy from top gear. He is so damn funny and a phenomenal driver while being a great commentator as well. If you go to google video you can find several of his reviews. I really would love to see that show broadcast here in the states.
Top Gear is awesome....during my recent deployment overseas to the "sandbox" it is one of the only things that kept me sane and also drove me crazy at the same time as it reminded me of my lil C2 996 sitting alone in my garage at home. Wish I could get it here in the states. My favorite was the episode when they compared the new 997S, the Vantage V8 and the 650i coupe. Awesome show. Anybody know where we can get it in the states?
The cars they used were very different. The C4 had PCCB while the C2 did not. As May says, swings and roundabouts, I'd say take that sort of journalism with a lbs of salt.
