Default 2 more front tires

Ah yes, yet another pair of front PS2's...that would be 5...in 25,000 mi.

Pretty good deal $600 out the door at my local tire emporium.

If it were not for the upcoming, AutoX and leaving on another road trip of 4-5,000 mi the day after then a track event 10/9, I could have waited.

The outside edges take a real beating, in particular doing AutoX on what I term "the cheese grader 'o' tires" at Qualcom Stadium with PCASDR.

And yes I've dialed in as much negative camber as I could, but far from enough.

The price of addiction

Should be the last set, until the new ride arrives in Jan...the GT3

Nice going, so the fronts last approx 25K? How about the rears, how long did they last and how much for replacements?

On my 3rd set of rears Cost approx $850/pr

Straight line civil driving would cure my support of Michelin.

But I'm an addict

You plan on doing all these road trips in the GT3? That will be interesting as I'm debating between that and the TT. Just not sure if the GT3 is too hard core for a lot of street driving. 5 months and 9,500 miles already.

Yes, I plan to do road trips with it..

May get an extra set of wheels with street tires...instead of cup tires for road trips.

should be interesting

Yea, do that! Great idea to save the cups for your track work. Drive the snot out of your new GT3 when you get her! Post the pics too.

Keep up posted!

Mjones,

I am changing my front tires at 4,500 miles. Yup, two days of autocross did them in. The outer walls are down to the bone.

Where did you get your tires for $600 out the door? Does that include taxes? Wow, is there a branch in Northern California?

That $600 was out the door, mounted, balanced...no tax.
I get them from a local tire shop (2 stores) with whom I've delt with for quite a while, they treat me right!

For AutoX go + pressure up front and that will help 39-40 PSI, cold.

I was told but have not tried...
There is a sidewall construction difference between the "N" tire and "non N"
The non N are a bit heavier but will not roll over as easy.
One of the considerations of design for the "N" tire was "ride compliance."
