Default Can't stay up!

Okay perverts get your mind out of the gutter... Went to fill-up on gas and my gas door hinge did not stay up. A little silly holding on to the gas lid, gas cap, and gas pump handle. Well after close-up observation, the plastic do-hicky broke off from the plastic mechanism engineered to keep the lid close or up.

Took the P-car to the dealership and they replaced the entire part# 996-201-063-00 (PL GAS DOOR HINGE). Yes, the part is the same for the 996 as is for the 997.

They just don't make "do-hickies" like they used to!

Glad you got it fixed so it will stay up!

Talking

is the part "purple"?

I am glad they fixed it for you, did they have the part in stock? If so, that is bad news.

Thanks guys, now I can stay up with the best of them and without Viagra!

Yes, they do have the part in stock and they change about (1) every week on the 996 and 997. They mentioned that the most common problem is a stuck fill-up lid... this is not good!

O yea, I forgot to mention, fill-up sooner because the gas lid could get stuck on the close position!!!!!!!!!!! : (
