Thanks. As my 2 year old son says, "I want ride Daddy's (pronounced 'Da-hees') car!" He's a car nut, much like his father.

You know, this looks so nice! It's NORMAL, with the kids in there enjoying it, too!

I had a couple over for dinner the other night and the woman mentioned that her brother had a sports car (the F-word) and had a special thermostatically controlled and dehumidified garage just for it, and insisted that everyone take their shoes off as they are getting into it.

Excuse me,--cars? These are CARS!

At least I don't think anyone of this group could be guilty of such excess! --Right?

My daughter loves my 964 Cab but dislikes the 997S...says it's too quiet. I am going to hate seeing the guy she dates when she's 45! opps I mean 15.

Edgy, many people are fastidiously obsessive about their cars... no wives, no food, no this or that. hardly surprising.

Mine are 4 and 7. I need to take some pics as well because they jsut LOVE the new (old but new to me) C2. My 7 year old daughter giggles like crazy nearly the entire time, and the boy... well.. he's a boy. It's amazing how my little switches he found in the car while I was buckling his sister into her seat!

Seriosuly this sharing of the passion is what makes this hobby so great. If my neighbour hadn't been into cars and been a car broker with something new every week, and hadn't talked to me while he washed them in his driveway, I'd probably be on a Cessna forum right now.

Glad to see you're enjoying the new p-car with the kids, My youngest is old enough (17 yrs old) to drive and is always complaining about his very limited amount of driving time (with me always in the co-pilot seat).

I've taken my daughters on a couple of occasions to our weekly Porsche meets here and they really enjoy it. My 15 year old said yesterday that I've spoiled her for the future; she knows she's going to only want to have a P-car as an adult! Guess that'll motivate them to work hard.

You have some beautiful kids. Mine, about the same ages, don't like to drive in daddy's "loud" car. Instead, they prefer the tranquility of my 745Li or the wifes new LX470. Yesterday a friend of mine's daughter was sitting in his 993 and released the brake and the car rolled down the driveway (15ft) very slowly into his fence. He was cleaning his wife's landcruiser and didn't even hear the car move. No real damage to the car other than a small scrape that can probably be buffed out, but man that's spooky. Oh, the wood fence has two busted boards.

My philosophy is that I've just spent over $100k on a car and that it should be driven and enjoyed, not babied. I love my family, far more than any car, and, so, to watch my kids playing around in my new toy brings me almost as much joy as driving it, myself. Last night, I shoehorned the whole family into the P, just to go to the grocery store; while it was not entirely comfortable for all - afterall, this car is anything but a people mover - it was a hell of a lot of fun! As we unloaded in the parking lot, we overheard a couple of kids remark how amazed they were that 4 people actually got out of that thing! We had a nice chuckle, grabbed some groceries and shoehorned back in for the short trip home.
